Last night I went and got my hair colored. I pretty much told Kathleen to do what she thought would be cool and she put in some big chunky bits of red. As you can see in the picture above, it's not super noticeable, but then you see it when I move and it looks very awesome (or when I take a picture of the top of my head while sitting at my desk at work!). I also love post-color hair; it's so shiny and fabulous! They used the pureology line to wash and style it – currently I am using the pink bottle for shampoo and conditioner because I got it on sale, but I miss the smell of the purple bottles and the tingly menthol feeling of the conditioner! I am almost out and will have to go back to the purple bottles!

Since the beginning of this blog, I have preached the benefit of having a mini capsule wardrobe of pieces in a seasonless fabric that can dress up or down. A shell, a pair of pants, a dress, a skirt, maybe a blouse… things you can mix and match that travel well. For years I suggested…

I first went to see a Broadway musical when I was in 4th grade. My dad’s friend came to visit from NYC and took us to see La Cage aux Folles at the National Theatre in DC. I was hooked, and looked forward to any time in any city to see a musical. So when…

Fall is here and I’m feeling it in my heart and my closet. I want to wear all the autumnal shades, put on wool and felt hats and wrap up in scarves and coats. And Comfort sent me their The Cambridge Tie Dress in terracotta and the color is better than sipping on a pumpkin…
Sorry so late. So Friday… hard to remember after my weekend! I believe it was very very cold and slushy and gross. On top of that, I broke the heel on my Impo city boots and am still hobbling a bit from the broken toe. Didn’t make for a fashion plate sort of day! Teal…
I know my salon just started selling pureology less than a year ago. They do sell some of it at *gasp* Target and online beauty companies. It really has done an amazing job at maintaining my color and a soft feel and texture. 🙂 The hubby KNOWS to not touch it! 😉
Love the cut and make up looks especially awesome! the red is not personally my style, but if you can rock it thats great. Do most salons sell pureology? I haven’t seen it. I love Kerastase Bain Miroir but I have to hide it from the hubby becuase its so pricey!
I love the chunks of red in your hair color. Its always fun to spice things up with your hair. Looks great!
