Another very cold day in the Nation's Capital! I did prepare my house with having the curtains closed all day, draft dodgers under the outside doors and doors closed to rooms we don't use. I think this weekend I'll go buy some of that plastic to shrink wrap around the windows – I did that last year and it really helped and brought down my Pepco bill.
Though my house is cold, my office is comfortable so I can easily wear a short-sleeved dress to work. Burgundy merino shift from Banana Republic, plum tights from Target, brown suede rouched boots from Silhouettes, silver hoops and cuff. I felt as though I needed something… a necklace or scarf with this look but nothing seemed quite right. In the end, I like the simple color blocking of the ensemble.
Hair was washed and conditioned the night before, a bit of pureology's Root Lift added and blown straight. This morning I used a round brush and the dryer to un-bend any bedhead and hit it with a few spritzes of Matrix Sleek Water-Free shine spray.
Makeup is Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer, L'Oreal True Match concealer in W1-3, philosophy's The Supernatural in Beige, Nars blush in Orgasm, Revlon ColorStay lipcolor in Rich Raisin, Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis – ivory in inner corners and over entire lid, khaki on lid. Lashes curled, two coats of Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara in black and a medium line of Maybelline UltraLiner in black on top lash line.
