Saturday evening was a baseball game with my mom and sister. My mom is a big baseball fanatic and loves nothing more than going to a game and screaming at the players. My sister and I enjoy the family time, the beer and the outdoors. We have grown to enjoy baseball more over the years of family trips. This is the last game we will go to this summer because we got our tickets a bit late and couldn't get good seats for any other game.
Black tee shirt dress from Jones New York Sport, black flip flops from Reef, sea glass and silver necklace from Ross, silver hoops from The Icing, silver cuff.
Hair is second day, a few hits of the curling iron and nothing else. Spent most of the time with sunglasses on my head because I thought it would be more sunny than it actually was.
Makeup is Bare Escentuals mineral foundation in Fairly Light, Body Shop bronzing powder in Light, Smashbox Soft Lights in Tint on the apples of the cheeks. Eyes is Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis – ivory in inner corners, khaki on lid. Lashes curled, two coats of Max Factor Lash Perfection in black, thin line of Maybelline Ultra Liner in black on top lash line. On lips is Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Afterglow.
Sunday we were to go to an outdoor music festival at Wolf Trap. About 10 friends, we could bring refreshments so we had sangria, wine and beer and a Mediterranean feast with pita, chicken, falafel, feta, pepperoncinis and various veggies, homemade tzaziki sauce and of course the requisite pasta salad for any picnic. Well it rained all day so we stayed at our house for an at-home festival. We put on reggae music from the digital cable's music channels and instead of plastic, enjoyed our beverages in wedding crystal. My sister brought Mardi Gras beads so we all looked terribly festive, even Ruckus (only long enough for a photo op, then he went back to lounging and People Watching).
I wasn't even dressed when people started showing up so I really did throw on an outfit. The now-famous teal cotton babydoll top from Old Navy was at the top of the laundry pile, and with it I paired my Gap denim cutoffs. Silver hoops, silver cuff, Mardi Gras beads and a glass of sangria.
Hair was washed, no product added and dried super-fast with a paddle brush. The rain outswide (had to dash around getting people and tending to things) left me wavy and a bit textured.
Makeup was Bare Escentuals mineral foundation in Fairy Light, Body Shop bronzer in light, Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis – khaki light on the lids. Max Factor Lash Perfection in black on curled lashes, a line of Maybelline Ultra Liner in black on top lash line and a bit of black kohl pencil from The Body Shop along both lash lines. Lips had the Revlon lipgloss in Pink Afterglow but by these photos it was gone.

I know not everyone loves neon, but I do. When Wham! Came out with their video to “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” I was OBSESSED. My parents didn’t have a lot of money, but they got me a neon orange scarf to tie in a big bow on the side of my head and…

This season I’m really feeling the look of a fitted top with a high waist full or flared pant or skirt. I’m short waisted so I have avoided high waisted pants in the past… but now that I’m over 40 I care less about traditional figure flattery and more about having a great time getting…

I will be doing a makeup review very soon… hopefully this week!
yes, my sister and I are often mistaken for being twins, and though me, my sister and my mom all have different mouthes, noses and eyes we somehow all look like! I do look more like my dad’s side of the family and my sister like my mom’s but we all seem very very… related looking! :-0
heya! I am LOVING the look of the bare escentuals on your face……. can you do a review or something of your experience? I’m considering switching to that – I use a really light Clinque foundation now, and I’m attracted to the thought that you can just use a bit of the powder and get coverage. I’d love to hear your thoughts!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Nice!

Yourself and your sister are very alike, and both of you are definitely a younger version of your Mom.
