The last time you saw this jumper was in this post, but that was not the last time I've worn it. When the weather gold colder, I switched out my short sleeve off the shoulder striped top for a long-sleeved striped tee, and when winter hit, I switched to tights and this cashmere turtleneck. I was psyched to see that Gwynnie Bee now carries this jumper, so you can rent it or try before you buy from Gwynnie Bee. So anyway, back to this look. I wore this to the National Harbor in Maryland. My birthday was Saturday and the AC Hotel was kind enough to host us for an overnight date night, just me and Karl (thanks to my mom for watching Emerson and my sister for watching our dog Cindy!). The next day we walked around National Harbor to see the sights and grab lunch and I wore this look.
I didn't use this bag much over the holidays, but I'm back to loving it and loving how it goes with so many outfits. There's something freeing about a bag that is neither black nor brown with hardware that is neither silver nor gold. It's big enough to carry the essentials (small makeup bag, sunglasses case, big-ass wallet, phone, cell charger, and various other randomness) and looks good on the shoulder or cross the body. It's not my first Rebecca Minkoff bag and likely will not be my last – I love the style and function of her line!

Hrm, I think I may have to fire my photographer husband. We were in a rush, he took one pic, said it was cute, we left. Belt crooked, weird pose… and EYES CLOSED! It reminds me of when my husband (then boyfriend) and I went to my first sorority formal. His father took a bunch…
I must remember to lift my chin for photos. I must remember to lift my chin for photos. I must remember to lift my chin for photos. I still love this top from Jones New York. You know it may not be what one would choose for my figure – it hides any narrowness to…
Black cotton short-sleeved wrap shirt from Ann Taylor (held together at neckline with tiny safety pin), tan tweed trousers from Ann Taylor, black croco peeptoe heels from BCBGirls, gold bangles from Ralph Lauren. Last night before I went to bed, washed and conditioned hair and added a bit of Jonathan Silky Dirt then slept on…
You’d think I wouldn’t love off-the-shoulder tops because I have a large bust and require a bra with some serious hardware to have the breasts look the way I like. But there’s something about an off-the-shoulder top that is sexy, and it’s a way to feel sexy, and the devil may care without showing a…
I am a fan of athleisure when it has style. With so many options out there, why stick to basic and boring sweats? When I saw Dressed in Joy athleisure, I was thrilled. Fun colors and prints, gender-neutral fits, and sizes up to XXXL, Dressed in Joy is a Black woman-owned small business by Mikaela Pabon,…
This job is a weird one, but through it, I have made some amazing friends and have experienced cool things I normally wouldn’t. Last Wednesday evening was an example of both – a great experience with a great friend and a great chance to share what I wore and why I wore this Rebecca Taylor…
