Christmas Eve: Navy knit top with tan dots – Ann TaylorStraight leg jeans – Not Your Daughter’s JeansBelt – Hobo International (bought at a sample sale)Boots – Fitzwell “Andrea” So Christmas Eve was a bit of a mess. Since I was sharing reviews in The Friday Shop and that series is postponed for now, such reviews will be incorporated into my What I Wore Recently/Last Week posts. That is, unless the item sucked so hard that I packed it up immediately to return. But I have a few reviews sprinkled through this post…
It’s good to have a few versatile dresses in your closet at the ready for all sorts of situations. This dress from Universal Standard has been worn many times yet this is its debut on the blog. I love that it’s a classic style with an edge thanks to a modern cut and mixed media…
When Karl and I got married, our wedding color was orange (with hot pink accents). We had a signature cocktail at the wedding reception, an Orange Crush. Considering I’m wearing an orange cocktail dress in today’s blog post I felt Orange Crush was a fitting title. Orange is my favorite color, and I think it’s…
I know I haven’t posted a lot. It’s because… I hate my wardrobe. Yes, Alison Gary, author of Wardrobe Oxygen has a closet full of stupid stuff. No staples, no go-to pieces. A bunch of things that don’t fit, don’t flatter, or don’t work with her lifestyle. Today I am wearing one of my few…
Scoop tee– Ann Taylor Cardigan – Only Mine (no longer available – similar) Belt – Hobo International (no longer available – similar) Skirt – Calvin Klein Shoes – Nine West (no longer available – similar) Bag – Brahmin (gosh I look like an ad for them, it was just the two pics that look best!)…
Looking beautiful birthday girl !
Thank you!
I love that when you dress up for an occasion, you do it up! You probably looked like someone famous all ready for a night on the town! A maxi dress always makes for a glam look, but I too would have never considered it for a winter event. But, now that you mention all the layers of warmth you can hide underneath, then absolutely, I’d consider it. Looks like you two had a great romantic weekend. Much love to you both.
Aww thank you Sonia!! Hope you are healing nicely!
I LOVE the stole
Thanks Meghan!
Gorgeous outfit, and your makeup looks extra amazing in these photos.
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous!
Thanks!
Girl that outfit is smokin’ hot. I love that dress. How I missed this website, I do not know. is this a site you recommend?
eShakti? I’ve had mixed experiences with them. I think if I ordered with measurements instead of sizing I’d be happier. I recommend reading the comments in this post as many readers have bought from them and have amazing suggestions: http://www.wardrobeoygen.com/2016/12/eshakti-review.html
The green stole is a knockout with your dress!
Thank you!

You are a beautiful butterfly, Allie!! What a perfect description!!
It’s funny, because I don’t see as many maxis in the winter, so the 3 of us just did a series on them. It’s nice to see you wear yours too!!

I love maxis in winter, you can hide tall boots, wool socks, longjohns and more!
