Some days, the hippie chick inside me just begs to come out.  I usually let her shine on weekends, but felt that pairing this skirt with a chambray shirt instead of a simple tank made it fit into the office (especially where I work).  On weekends, you'd likely see me in this skirt with a simple black ribbed tank and my hair in a messy updo.

Emerson still loves frozen waffles – we fed them to her when she was teething and she has never stopped loving them.  While I personally find them disgusting, it does make for quick and easy meals and snacks… and silly poses for photos!

  1. I read another post and you mentioned that denim shirts are a NO! Yet, I have seen you rocking them in quite a few pics. What gives?

    1. That post you’re mentioning was written in 2008 or so, I have written since about how my views have since changed. I have been writing Wardrobe Oxygen for almost eight years and have admitted that my views occasionally change with trends. However I do agree that any denim shirt you had in 2008 likely isn’t stylish in 2013 as this shirt I am wearing in a 2012 post I possibly wouldn’t be caught in come 2014. I believe a woman’s wardrobe should have some core staples that won’t change so drastically from season to season, but also include a few trendy pieces to stay current an that fit with her personal style.

  2. Emerson is SO cute! I agree with the others – she’s the best photobomb. I laughed out loud – too adorable!

  3. I love this pic of your daughter with her waffle…you can see she can’t wait to take a big bite! Love your boho skirt!

  4. Loving that skirt – I did a hippie skirt this week too, so peace and love are in the air : > Emerson is the cutest!

  5. That is a gorgeous skirt and you look awesome, but I think your daughter stole the show today! She totally surprised me as I scrolled through your pictures. What a sweetheart! 🙂

  6. You could always make your own waffles and freeze them for her. My 2 year old loves pancakes or waffles (warmed up) out of the freezer. The plus is I know what’s in them and I like to grate carrot or apple up into them to give them that little extra. Emerson is so cute.
