These pictures are at the end of the day. It was a rough day. I am still sick, and I had to fly out to visit a client in another state. Worked six hours, then flew, then finally got to my hotel. Had a fever. Didn’t want to look pretty. Didn’t care. JUST. WANTED. SLEEP….
Lime green feather weight merino boatneck with wood buttons at the collar from J. Crew, dark cotton denim patch-pocket jeans from Gap Outlet, silver hoops and cuff, leopard peeptoe heels from BCBGirls. Hair is washed and conditioned, a small amount of Sexy Straight Hair’s Shine On! and Nexxus Texxtur applied to damp hair, dried straight…
I have wanted a pair of coveralls forever (okay since 2007 as I mentioned in this post). I had it in my mind, dark denim, but not too stiff. Snaps, no zipper, no buttons. I envisioned them cuffed to the ankles with some old-school sneakers or funky flats, or maybe roll cuffed with an amazing…
I don’t want to admit that I broke my toe earlier this month. I keep wearing shoes that have heels thinking I am fine and by time I am home, my foot is throbbing. I give up; I wear flats until it heals. 🙁 Navy stretch cotton v-neck sweater from Banana Republic, gray “Drew” trousers…
The past two months have been a blur of travel and events related to the blog and next month it will be travel and events for my non-blog life. I feel I have built a pretty good core wardrobe of basics that mix and match and can transform with a switch of shoes and accessories. …

Did you get your scarf back yet? May we see it please? What do you think about it?
Chris
I just got it back today! I’ll have it on the blog hopefully this week but there’s a sneak peek on InstaStories today!
I can’t wait to see the results. You’ll share them here, right? (Please!) And that belt absolutely makes the dress outfit, IMO. So stinkin’ cute!
I just dyed a few dresses last night, which has nothing to do with your post or my reaction to it. You and your daughter show an exquisite bond in these photos. They are wall worthy my girl!
Allie, there’s a French woman who ties scarves in the most imaginative ways I’ve ever seen. If you look through the tutorials on her blog, you’ll see examples of how to tie the same scarf in different ways so that you can highlight the design aspects that you would prefer to accent — you can actually fold it in such a way that you can completely ignore the middle pattern if you wish it were a different design or color! Her Hermès collection is stunning, and her sense of color is remarkable. https://maitaicollection.com
You too look TOO cute together !
I had never heard of the Hermèsmatic, how amazing!
love your dress! You two look so cute!!!! Love the outfits and sounds like such a great experience at hermes
I love, love, love that dress, and the pictures of you and Emerson are adorable! Can’t wait to see how your scarf turns out.
Such a lovely dress and scarf. You and your daughter are gorgeous!
I’m interested to hear more about the dye process. Are they able to change only one color in the pattern, or does the entire scarf get dyed?
The whole scarf is dyed, this video from Hermes shows a before and after from a predominately white scarf. Curious to see how mine turns out since there’s no white, hoping it just tones down the vibrancy and makes the gold more orange/coral! http://usa.hermes.com/la-maison-des-carres/hermesmatic-nyc.html
