Gap crazy stripe sweaters worn in a holiday card by Wardrobe OxygenI mentioned in this post that I was digging the Crazy Stripe items from Gap… I liked them so much I got some for all of us and we decided to use it in this year's holiday card!  Emerson loves this sweater and wears it all the time.  I didn't think Karl would adore the scarf, but he also wears it quite often.  I wear my sweater too, as you can see in this blog post.  I just love how happy and cheerful the color combination is, and that it's not specifically holiday.  We took these pictures in our living room with a self timer and white backdrop.  We took only three photos, and two made the cut!  Emerson is the one who suggested the peace signs!

Gap crazy stripe sweaters worn in a holiday card by Wardrobe OxygenWe had the first photo on the front with Peace, Love, and Joy on the bottom and this photo on the back with a wish for a happy 2018. I would show you the cards but I underestimated the number needed and sent out every single one.  However, I have these photos to remind us that while 2017 wasn't the best, we have each other, we can remember the good times, and head into a new year with strength and a positive outlook!

FYI, I am wearing the sweater in XL. This sweater is not a relaxed/boxy fit, but more of a tailored shape and ends high hip. I bought Emerson the sweater in L hoping she'd get another year out of it, it too runs small and shrinks a bit even when following the laundry instructions. It fits her now, but I'm not expecting it to work after this year.  Crazy Stripe is currently on sale, I may buy a larger one for Emerson to have on hand for next fall so we can twin again! And for those wondering, Karl's sweater is Banana Republic from a couple years ago; this full-zip sweater looks like a similar fabrication and color.

  1. I was just watching this Christmas’ Gap commecccommeercial (during Colbert) and thinking … wait that was good but this is better and I didn’t even realized the three of you were wearing Gap. Next year I hope it’s your family in the Gap commercial.

  2. I really enjoy your blog and appreciate that you actually include some text rather than just photos/links to products with a quick line or two. I was a little worried for you when you left your job but it seems to really be agreeing with you! You look happier and healthier.

  3. I may be over-doing it with my comments, but I can’t help myself: you look so happy and full of life. I am contemplating some changes in my life, spurred by some circumstances that I wish were different. You are a great example and role model of taking a risk, rolling with the consequences, and moving strongly towards happiness.

  4. Alison,

I read your blog pretty much daily, but not sure I’ve commented – you guys are so cute! I wish you all the very Merriest Christmas and all the best for a happy, healthy and wonderful 2018!
