Product Review: Clinique Supermoisture Makeup – Good stuff! I mean, I have never been disappointed in Clinique foundations, but this one is hydrating without slipping all over, kept a natural yet finished look all day, and didn't feel heavy, smell funny, or really feel like anything was on my skin. The color blended nicely – the sample I received I didn't think would be a good match (seemed too yellow) but it blended beautifully and even in natural light there was hardly a difference between my face and neck color or texture. This would be a great winter foundation when my skin gets so dry and sensitive. I guess it's so new, it's not even on the Clinique website? Luckily I found it on Nordstrom.

Dress: Felicity & Coco | Jacket: Hinge | Tights: Nordstrom | Booties: Nine West | Silver cuff | Lipstick: Revlon Matte in Wine Not I love me some ponte knit. I think that’s pretty clear from reading even one post of this blog. I wrote about needing a new photographer’s assistant dress and was hoping…
This is what I wore yesterday when I was the guest speaker at a class on blogging and marketing at Howard University. When I got home, Karl snapped a few photos. I wanted to look accessible but not too try-hard, polished but not stuffy. My friend who is the professor of the class offered a…

Yes, I am at work today. Luckily most of my clients are government agencies so it has been a day of catching up on to-dos and being relaxed with the clock. So relaxed, I went to Ann Taylor on my lunch break. Didn’t find anything I wanted but got a chance to take my picture…
Who says a small versatile wardrobe has to be full of solid colored boring clothing? I find some of my most-worn pieces are the ones that make quite a statement. One thing I have always found useful in my wardrobe is a dressy t-shirt style blouse in a print. With my body changing, I found…
Baby, it’s COLD OUTSIDE! My husband, Emerson and I headed to our favorite local diner for breakfast and I bundled up in my Lands’ End Luxe Down Parka. LOVE this coat – it’s so warm and the hood is so snuggly! Underneath was my Ann Taylor LOFT curvy bootcut jeans, my black booties from Fitzwell,…
I agree about the Clinique Supermoisture makeup – I received a reasonable-sized sample in a local Clinique store here in New Zealand yesterday. Mine was a bit too dark – probably matched to the bronzer-touched bits on my face instead of the actual skintone, but I will be going back for a full-sized tube in a shade lighter! Great product, eh!
BTW, I love the purple dress on you, as well as the slightly darker hair colour.
You know I finally ordered those same shoes in brown and I wear them all the time. They are HIGH heels, but I feel like such a lady. And I can’t help but describe them as my croco peeptoe heels. Haha!
pretty dress!!!!
Red looks so good on you with this new haircolor! You have that pin-up girl vibe when wearing red.

Thanks so much for the foundation review – I have been looking for a new one that is hydrating. And like Katen, I love that dress!
Hi Dilly. I love that red dress SOOOO much 🙂

I love the red on you! I just bought a red blazer the other day… huge fan of red lately.
I entered one of the splendicity contests that you linked too, for the black orchid perfume. And I won! So exciting!
