This morning I didn't feel like getting dressed, didn't feel like looking cute. But this skirt, this skirt that I love yet don't need was calling to me, mocking me from the closet. I've worn it with a Western shirt, on weekends I have paired it with a v-neck tee shirt, but I wanted something that looked a tad more office-appropriate. This wrap sweater was a clearance purchase last year and has been a good buy and often worn on days like this when I just don't care but need to have clothing on my body and not look as though I don't care.

This lipstick is another thing that makes me look as though I put forth effort when I really didn't. It's Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic and I am passionately in love with it. This is my go-to daytime lipcolor; if I top it with a red lipgloss it's intense and fabulous; on its own I just feel finished and pretty and lush.

And my sartorial partner in crime? She likes to dress up for her days with Grandma. Today was a day worthy of her Sheriff's badge!

  1. I absolutely love this skirt (loved it when you first showed it and love it now.) It’s the one maxi skirt I’ve seen that I would consider wearing myself. You look wonderful!

  2. I love everything about this look–from the lippy to the skirt! I’m taken the liberty of jotting down the name of the lipstick. I’m always on the look out for a nice color lipstick and yours looks so pretty!

    1. It’s a total winner, and being a drugstore brand there’s not that much buyer’s regret if you don’t adore it. I have three of these sticks from Revlon, like them all but this color is my absolute favorite and am on my 2nd stick!

  3. So I clicked on the link for the Revlon, and I was not expecting a chubby stick! I am double intrigued….Is it drying? How do you find the wear throughout the day?

    1. Not drying at all, it’s a balm stain and if you apply it thick you get a really pretty shine. The stick is mechanical so no need for a sharpener. It fades nicely, doesn’t really leave a stain for me, but lasts longer than say the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm that I wore last summer. Lasts like a lipstick, but wears in a nicer way.

  4. All of this looks perfection, head to toe. And how great that it feels easy and works for you on a day you don’t feel like doing much.

And E’s hair is so cute too!
