Where to Shop for Plus Size Belts
So often, I have folks ask me in comments, on social media, and by email where they can find plus size belts. So many brands, even ones that carry plus sizes, don't offer an extended size range for their belts. I wanted to share where to shop for plus size belts for women. They do exist, and they're available in a range of prices, styles, quality, and brands.
It is ridiculous that 67% of the women in the United States are plus size, and the average American woman is a size 16, yet we continue to struggle to find plus size belts. I hope this list of where to shop for plus size belts is a useful resource for you.

Where to Shop for Plus Size Belts for Women
This list is not exhaustive; it is just the places where I or folks I know have had success shopping for plus size belts. The list is in alphabetical order. I look forward to your comments on where you shop for belts so I can ensure this list is a valuable resource for those seeking plus size women's belts!
ADA Belts
I have loved ADA wrap belts for years; here I am, styling an ADA wrap belt back in 2015. High-quality leather from a woman-owned sustainable company, these belts can transform a wardrobe, and I often wear them in place of a dress' self-belt to switch up the look. ADA offers its wrap belts in an extended length that is 5″ longer. I have the shorter length and have found it work well up to a size 16 and could possibly do an 18; the 5″ longer option would make these belts available to a few more sizes.
Anson Belt & Buckle
Anson Belt & Buckle is a family-run company that offers a unique micro-adjustable belt. Originally a company for men's belts, Anson added a woman's belt line in 2020. You choose your buckle, and then choose your strap/belt. All straps fit up to a size 50″ waist.

ASOS
If you are looking for plus-size belts at wallet-friendly prices and/or that incorporate the latest trends, check out ASOS. I have several belts from ASOS, and while they aren't the quality I'd need for hard-working everyday use to keep jeans in place, they are fabulous for adding style to outfits, and ASOS offers up to 4X in belts.
Bella Belts
Bella Belts is one size fits most, and most means up to 59″ which is equivalent to a 6X. Instead of holes, Bella Belt's buckles have a unique locking system which makes it up to 600% more flexible than traditional belts, ensuring it always fits comfortably, regardless of the day. Bella belts offers a variety of buckles, belt colors, and both leather and vegan options.
Beltaway
I love Beltaway. This is a metal-free durable elastic belt with a sturdy plastic buckle that is fantastic for keeping jeans from sliding down. Beltaway comes in size 0-14 and size 16-4X. They are strong, washable, adjustable. I love my Beltaway also for faking a tucked-in top.

Depending on the season, ELOQUII offers a range of fashion and traditional belts in sizes 14/16 to 30/32 in faux leather and novelty textiles. ELOQUII is a great place to find belt trends for reasonable prices.
Etsy
I have often shopped for plus size belts on Etsy because I can get the width, the length, the color, and the style I desire in any length I need. You'll have to do a bit of digging but with the right keywords (for example, “leather dress belt plus size” or “custom length stretch belt women”), you can find some gems. Do not focus on gender; often the belts advertised for men are right on trend for any gender and often high quality and thickness.
Good American
Good American has expanded its offerings and now has a line of stylish belts available up to size 3X. These are fashion belts, and at the time of publishing, are all made from faux leather and faux suede.

Lands' End
Lands' End makes quality leather belts in plus sizes 1X-3X and waist sizes 40-58. These are classic belts for dress/work and for casual/denim usually in brown, black, and occasionally a color like tan or cognac. For those unsure about number sizes of belts, you choose your waist size in inches for your belt and it should fit on the middle hole with some room for natural body fluctuation.
Lane Bryant
Lane Bryant has been bringing it lately and the Lane Bryant belt selection has improved with on-trend styles, leather options, and sizes 14/16-26/28.

Where Do You Find Plus Size Belts?
I'd love to hear from you! Where do you shop for plus size belts? Did I miss your favorite retailer or brand? Please share in the comments and help fellow members of the Wardrobe Oxygen community!
As one of the askers of this question, I’m delighted to see an update. Here are two resources I have found:
I’m a small fat and Brave Leather, which is Canadian, carries belts up to 42, which covers me.
https://braveleather.com
Also, my favorite daily belt was custom sized for me at my local Renaissance festival. They cut it down to perfect size for me! It wasn’t cheap but its cost per wear is rapidly diminishing.
In addition to the usual black and brown, the leather merchant at my local faire had some colors like a nice red that goes with all my burgundy clothes and accessories. They also have leather with knotwork and fancy buckles if that’s your thing. My husband got a really nice light brown belt with knotwork that he wears daily.
Thank you, Ginger, for these additions!
Buffalo Billfold Company has buffalo hide belts in sizes up to 50 inch waist. I think the style would fit into the Western category. They are sturdy looking belts, which I prefer. Prices $64.95 to 79.95. Outstandingly, they are 100% Made in USA. I am so sick of various items that look good in the pictures online, and then when I get the item, it is low quality Chinese junk.
No offense to the Chinese people. Of course they make high quality items of all kinds including precision instruments. What I am talking about is due to what goes on between foreign buyers and Chinese sellers. The Chinese manufactures keep saying that they can produce items of any quality. But if buyers insist on very low prices, then the items will probably not be the high quality the buyers are hoping for.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this. I will be saving this for future reference. I often dislike self belts or cheap looking included belts and this is a great resource.
Thanks for mentioning Lane Bryant. I haven’t thought of them for awhile. I checked out your link and ended up with a fitted (“waisted”) denim jacket that turned out to be as cute as pictured when I rec’d it today, and will be really useful. Appreciate the wide variety of suggestions!
I’m so glad to read that!
Thanks so much for this!!
H & M has a good selection of belts up to XXL that are reasonably priced and in both leather and faux leather. Nordstrom Rack also has a selection of at least XL belts. I don’t know the full range of sizes there.
Thank you! Another excellent resource!
This was an excellent resource. Thank you for sharing. A few of these I already knew about, but was particularly excited to learn about the wrap belts from ADA. Thanks again
I’m glad you found it helpful!
I have purchased two belts recently through the Coach outlet that come in one long length, but the idea is that you cut the belt to fit by removing the buckle and then putting it back on. I have not followed through on this step yet but it looks easy to do. I also like Free People for belts – good selection and lots of sizes. Check them out for bags too.
I never would have thought of Free People for plus size belts as they don’t carry plus size clothing. Will have to check it out!
Free People doesn’t carry belts above size L/XL (39.5” waist), sadly.
Not technically plus sized, but the larger sizes are quite long and I am sure will work.
