If you attend cabi's The Scoop conference, they have a huge room dedicated to shopping previous seasons of their clothing. The prices are amazing and you can find some real gems you may have missed out when they were in stock. I saw this sweater and HAD to have it. I loved the subtle camo pattern and saw how it would be great for work with trousers or a pencil skirt, or dressed down for the weekend with jeans and boots. I didn't think about the sweater when I ordered my Rothy's flats, but realized when they arrived that the two have a very similar pattern. While not exactly the same, I think it's fun to wear them together.
This was the first weekend in a long time when we had no plans. Saturday we spent at home catching up on cleaning, laundry, and yes some sleep. Sunday we hit the Greenbelt Farmers Market for the week's meals and to grab lunch. In its 10th year, the Greenbelt Farmers Market prides itself on choosing vendors that only sell regional products and have ethical practices. Along with produce you can find meats, bread and pastries, pickles, canned goods, soaps, wine, coffee, and several vendors where you can get a delicious brunch or lunch to enjoy on the hill that overlooks the market. We often get a crepe with a cup of Zeke's coffee and catch up with neighbors and friends while the kids play.
The weather Sunday was gorgeous, and the type where no one really knew what to wear. In the crowd at the farmers market individuals in lightweight parkas were chatting with friends in shorts and flip flops. This sweater isn't too heavy, I pushed up the sleeves and was comfortable even in direct sun. The jeans are super stretchy (as are the shoes) so it was a good outfit for lounging in the grass. This bag was one of my best purchases this year – I've shoved it under airplane seats, stuffed it to the gills with work stuff, and even take it shopping to the farmers market to tuck in small purchases.
This is not the first time I've worn this combination of a look, and I know it won't be the last. I used to shy away from prints thinking they're too memorable to be versatile, but now I see them as a way to transform an outfit of otherwise ordinary basics into an true ensemble.

I realized I haven’t done one of these posts recently. Since my summer road trip, I haven’t been as click-happy with my phone and haven’t captured as many looks but I’ll try to be better about that. I love when I see what people wear for their day-to-day, and since a lot of what I…
Today is an icky day. Spitting rain, the air feels heavy and dank. No desire to go to work, and wardrobe is terribly stagnant. Cherry ribbed crewneck sweater from Chico’s, black triacetate suiting trousers from Ann Taylor Loft, black city boots from Aldo, silver hoops and cuff bracelet. Hair is second day, a bit blown…
Saturday was the Families Belong Together Rally and March. At over 750 rallies across the United States, people gathered together to protest the how immigrant families are being detained and separated. No hate, no fear, immigrants belong here. My father’s parents came to Ellis Island from a town on the Russia/Poland border; my mom’s family…
We went to a friend’s house on Saturday afternoon. My husband took photos of their children, and we got to spend time with loved ones. Casual affair (I didn’t even have to be second shooter or photographer’s assistant!) so I wore jeans and brought Emerson. The car was full of equipment so I was in…
I am on vacation through the end of the year, but I had to pop on to share what I wore Christmas Eve. It’s actually the same thing I wore last year for Christmas Eve and the year prior! I am all about rewearing looks, and for special occasions like holidays, it’s a great time…
Love this jumper, it has such a fun vibe and that sale sounds amazing! I am definitely going to be giving some bolder prints a go after seeing how awesome you look here. Thanks for the inspiration!

Love the sweater, you look great!
I have been trying to work up my nerve with this bag, it seems like it will scratch, but yours looks great.
looks like a lot of fun! love the sweater
Sounds like a great local farmer’s market! Do you find this sweater to be cropped?
It really is, we’re lucky to have it walking distance from our home! And the sweater hits mid hip and a straight/not fitted shape.
