Saturday I attended a baby clothing and goods swap in town so I wore my Long & Lean jeans from the Gap and a new black cowl-neck sweater I got off the sale rack at Ann Taylor on Friday night.  Paired with black city boots and hoops.

Saturday night I went out with friends.  I received a pair of Not Your Daughter's Jeans in a straight cut and very dark wash, black cami, my black ruffle cardigan from Caslon and a pair of gray shoes from… not sure the brand offhand but got at Nordstrom.  Couple silver necklaces and silver hoops.

I thought it would be nice to have a picture of me pigeon-toed… too bad I didn't have any leaves to throw over my head…

And here's how I felt at the last of the night… designated driver and a babysitter made Allie a very happy gal!

Though it may be snowing outside in the Nation’s Capital, I know it will be toasty warm in my office. I never understand why bad weather forces women to look like shlumps. 1. Heh, heh- the leaves comment made me laugh out loud. Perhaps next time you could experiment with the coquettish look back over your shoulder…

  2. Nice photos Allie! That pub looks like it’s in my neck of the woods 🙂

The photo with your husband is really sweet. He, too, has a calm and gentle spirit.

Great to read you guys painted the town! Keep doing fun stuff.

  3. You guys are too funny. I almost didn’t post the pigeon-toed pic because of the heinous look on my face and the crazy angle so I look as though I have 5 chins instead of 2. But glad it brought a chuckle to some of you! 🙂

  4. Allie, you look FANTASTIC!!! Those jeans were just MADE for you. Love the sweater, too, and those shoes are to die for. What a chic little outfit (with or without leaves, LOL)! Glad you got a fun night out 🙂

  5. Love the pictures and the attitude! It’s so, so good to see a real person in real clothes not trying to look like a Vogue model coming off a three day bender.

    Signed,
Pigeon-toed by nature and not fond of calling attention to it.

  6. Those shoes! Hello! A-MAZ-ING.
And PS I love that you’re the anti-blogger now … I want to see “broken down doll” one day soon. So pleased you’re blogging lovely lady.

  7. Awesome shoes Allie and you look great! This post is screaming for some leaves though (kidding)… Anne Taylor is having so many crazy deals these days aren’t they? Along with ‘the loft’.. It’s one good thing about the poor economy. Take care!
