This is what I wore yesterday when I was the guest speaker at a class on blogging and marketing at Howard University. When I got home, Karl snapped a few photos. I wanted to look accessible but not too try-hard, polished but not stuffy. My friend who is the professor of the class offered a…

You dig our version of a safety gate? We got some fancy-dancy highly rated baby gate before Emerson was born, and before we finished the remodel. Once we installed this banister we realized it doesn’t work. My faux Wassily chair fits in there perfectly, keeps the dogs from going upstairs while we’re gone, and keeps…
This weekend was our 17th wedding anniversary and to celebrate we did a little two-night getaway to DC. Our home in Maryland is only a few miles from the DC border, but this weekend away felt like a world away and was just what the doctor ordered! While I will do a full review of…

Yep, DC area born and bred! Glad to have you here, I also write at http://www.wardrobeoygen.com about fashion for real people. Hope I can be of help and don’t be a stranger! 🙂
this is funny! i wondered if you live in D.C. when i saw you refer to “the Metro” in one of your posts! i live in NOVA, and this is *so* true!
this is my first time on your blog. i need HELP! with my wardrobe, and I Googled “Mommy fashion Blogs” and yours came up! i’ll be watching your blog for help, now that I know about your posts, and we’re in the same geographic area (so same weather and stores!)
haha, as soon as it started I knew it was the same guy who did the Arlington Rap. Hilarious.
the arlington rap is also money.
but yes, this metro one is so spot-on!
Oh this made me laugh, gonna make G watch it when he gets home! Any time we go into D.C. we take the metro (unless we’re going to dinner where there’s valet). I think the best part of taking it is watching the tourists who have never been on a freakin’ subway system before. It’s not hard, but damn do they get perplexed.
