What an icky foggy morning. I walked out the door and the air felt like soup. No wonder my hair was acting so crazy! The traffic was AWFUL because in the DC area, you can have a drop of rain and people are slamming on brakes left and right, skidding into medians and freaking out…

Black merino turtleneck from Ann Taylor, ivory and black zebra-print corduroy skirt from Isaac Mizrahi for target, black tights from Target, black round-toe high heeled pumps from Jessica Simpson. Hair was washed and conditioned with ColorReflector products. Then it was blown straight with a round brush, no product. Makeup is L’oreal Ture Match foundation in…
The day started with a Christening for our friend’s son and my husband is the Godfather. Black dress with lime and turquoise pattern of matte jersey from London Times. Black round toe pumps from Jessica Simpson. White gold chain with turquoise glass disc from Italy, silver hoops and cuff bracelet. I took my turquoise pashmina…
What a difference a day makes! Look, I am HUMAN again! A bit browner, a bit slimmer (thank you Bonnaroo for making me walk so much!), tons more freckles, but back to Corporate Allie. When I got home last night I saw the retail gods were shining down on me, leaving a package of $14.99…

Yep, DC area born and bred! Glad to have you here, I also write at http://www.wardrobeoygen.com about fashion for real people. Hope I can be of help and don’t be a stranger! 🙂
this is funny! i wondered if you live in D.C. when i saw you refer to “the Metro” in one of your posts! i live in NOVA, and this is *so* true!
this is my first time on your blog. i need HELP! with my wardrobe, and I Googled “Mommy fashion Blogs” and yours came up! i’ll be watching your blog for help, now that I know about your posts, and we’re in the same geographic area (so same weather and stores!)
haha, as soon as it started I knew it was the same guy who did the Arlington Rap. Hilarious.
the arlington rap is also money.
but yes, this metro one is so spot-on!
Oh this made me laugh, gonna make G watch it when he gets home! Any time we go into D.C. we take the metro (unless we’re going to dinner where there’s valet). I think the best part of taking it is watching the tourists who have never been on a freakin’ subway system before. It’s not hard, but damn do they get perplexed.
