Dress: c/o Dobbin Clothing | Necklace: c/o Lydell NYC | Shoes: Boutique 9 I can’t believe this is the first time I have worn this fabulous dress on the blog. I have shared it on Instagram and worn it several times, but just not on here. I even wore it to speak on a panel…
For years I shied from linen. I’m already a klutz who often has a dribble of coffee on her shirt, a smear of cream cheese on her cuff. To add wrinkles and creases to my look would just make me look like a slob. If you go through my archives, rarely will you see linen…
Dress: Ellen Tracy | Belt: Steve Madden | Bag: c/o Novica (from several years ago but it’s still available!) | Shoes: Nine West | Bracelet: gift (similar) I wore this dress for Easter; after taking the pictures I wish I had also photographed it with the pink coat I wore over it (this one, you…
We went to a friend’s house on Saturday afternoon. My husband took photos of their children, and we got to spend time with loved ones. Casual affair (I didn’t even have to be second shooter or photographer’s assistant!) so I wore jeans and brought Emerson. The car was full of equipment so I was in…
Sweater: Hinge | Tee: Old Navy | Jeggings: Old Navy (similar) | Boots: DUO (similar) I read recently on a forum that people are finding fashion blogs to become more and more false, more like catalogs. Perfectly airbrushed girls skipping through leaves drinking lattes and wearing Karen Walker sunglasses. Where’s the outfits people really wear…
I’m all for a wardrobe of workhorses; pieces that fit, flatter, are versatile and relatively timeless. However, I also find it important to update your closet each season with a couple new trends, fun colors or prints to add your personal style and keep your closet from being boring. Boden is one of my favorite…
This is one of the best looks I’ve seen on any blog for awhile. It just jumps off the screen. Love Love Love.
Thank you Lesley!
I have a rule not to keep anything that isn’t used in a year. I wash my clothes once a month to make sure I use everything for that season once. It helps me figure out what is bad beyond repair and trash it instead of letting things linger in the back of the wardrobe. It also helps see what has minor flaws and repair the items.
I am a firm believer that everything you own should be used, that no joy comes from having a pretty thing that you never look at or wear. My paintings, prints and art are all on the walls, the china I have is the one I use everyday. I would say I am a “baroque minimalist”, as I don’t strive for the aesthetic of minimalism and I own plenty of stuff, but it all gets used and loved – loved to destruction.
I say love your Louboutin gloss to destruction.
That blouse is just the perfect set of colors for you!
You look amazing — and you are so right about using the good stuff rather than saving it.
You look great in red!
Fabulous outfit! I never would have looked twice at that blouse based on the model but it is amazing on you.
Would love to see it styled with dress pants or a jumpsuit!
Love this blouse!!
Thanks Jaymie!
