I've been meaning to recreate this look for a while.  I wore this outfit to an October wedding but was never satisfied with the shoes I chose.  I wore simple black pumps but felt the look needed something with a bit more interest.  Payless invited me to check out the Christian Siriano for Payless collection and when I found these shoes I knew they'd be the perfect choice.

I've been a Project Runway fan since the beginning, and was so thrilled when Christian Siriano won and went on to great things.  He's had such success on the red carpet, the runway, and in other avenues.  Christian Siriano's line for Payless has his trademark style for less.

Siriano maintains his voice in this collection and offers affordable fashion for the everyday shopper.  I loved finding his stylish shoes in wide widths; I've always liked ghillie and other lace-up styles of shoes but my wide feet have make them look weird on me.  However, these in an 8W gives my feet plenty of space so the shoes look the way they're supposed to while being quite comfortable.  I look forward to styling these for the warmer months; they'd look great with a Grecian inspired midi sundress or paired with cuffed jeans.

I've seen many discount designer collections that have been disappointing; I wonder if the designers even looked a the pieces before slapping their name on them.  The Christian Siriano for Payless collection stands out as a line that is budget-friendly but maintains the style and voice of the designer while incorporating comfort and wearable fashion.

Look familiar? Yeah, I pretty much took off last night’s outfit, folded it on my bureau and put it back on today. It didn’t get dirty and well… I didn’t do all my laundry this weekend! Hair was washed, a small amount of Jonathan Silky Dirt and blown straight with a paddle brush. Makeup is…

  1. That stole take this outfit to another level. I love this look on you! I have not shopped in Payless for years and may need to stop by and take a look.

  2. Every part of this outfit looks chic and elegant. It looks like it would be comfortable too. Thank you for re-creating this look because it must have been pretty cold out there!

  3. I like the color of the pearls. I wouldn’t have known that was a jumpsuit. Compared to the printed fabric from last weeks jumpsuit I think the solid color looks more like a long dress.

  4. I got some shoes similar to that over the summer. I call them my “cage” shoes. I wore the heck out of them. They just make an outfit so much more.
